Unwanted Presence

This series revisit the morning in which I caught a man peering through my window after I had just finished bathing. This violation of space, privacy, and security deeply affected me, warranting a series through which I could process the incident and heal. The paintings are presented here in chronological order- from the moment I innocently peered through the blinds (Predator Prelude), to the moment I jolted back from the window, overcome by the realization of what had just occurred (Moment of Realization), to the pain, guilt, shame, anger, and isolation I experienced in the following days (Processing), to finally reclaiming my space and my body by basking in the sunlight (Reclamation).
